Ladies, how blessed are we to live in or near the state that gives us, bourbon? People are traveling to Kentucky from far and wide to taste what we lovingly refer to as our “brown water.” We may be slightly spoiled, but I like to think of us as just lucky and at Smoke Justis, they really make a girl feel special with their monthly Bourbon Women Social.
Our native spirit (both for the state of Kentucky and the United States) is made in every corner of Kentucky and is as diverse and delectable as the state itself. Brought together under one roof, Smoke Justis in Covington, Kentucky has a Bourbon Lounge where you can taste many different brands and robust flavors of bourbon – more than 400! — in their intimate and cozy Bourbon Lounge. It is in this lounge that women gather for Smoke Justis’s monthly Women’s Bourbon Social, exclusively for women on the second Tuesday of every month from 6 pm – 9 pm.
The Women’s Bourbon Social provides a warm and welcoming space for women who are both long time or developing bourbon lovers, to socialize and network with one another. Invite your girlfriends or come as the brave and independent woman you are and make a new friend!
With dozens of bourbons to choose from, you can try bourbon from Four Roses Single Barrel, Weller 12, Old Pogue’s Master Select, New Riff Bottled in Bond, Henry McKenna Bottled in Bond, and many of their friends. The friendly bartenders are bourbon aficionados that can give it to you straight, neat or create a signature bourbon cocktail to delight your pallet and warm your soul.
Hungry? Small, delectable bites are always provided during the Women’s Bourbon Social for free. However, if you want to order off their menu, you can still do so for the price listed. Please place your order with the bartender. My personal favorites include the friend pickle chips, buffalo chicken flat bread and the bourbon pecan blondie!
