New Riff Distilling sent out a press release yesterday to announce that their bourbon, which has been gently aging for the past four years, will be released this fall! It will be available in retail stores, restaurants and bars (SRP $39.99/750 ml.)

It’s a high rye bourbon, Bottled in Bond at 100 proof without chill filtration. According to a quote from Ken Lewis, founder of New Riff, they are “eliminating chill filtration to ensure that not a single molecule of flavor is sacrificed. We are firmly grounded in Kentucky’s revered Bourbon tradition, but this is very much our own riff.”

To further whet your bourbon appetite for this exciting release, here are a few more details from New Riff:

  • A Robust High-Rye Bourbon– New Riff Bourbon is a genuine high-rye, full-bodied whiskey with a savory, spicy character.
  • Sustainable Practices– Uses 100% non-GMO grains (65% corn, 30% rye and 5% malted barley) and pure water directly from the Ohio River Alluvial Aquifer, which is naturally filtered and cool, eliminating the need for energy-intensive artificial chilling.
  • Dream Team– Boasts a dream team of experts, including Founder Ken Lewis and Co-Founder Jay Erisman, previously of The Party Source, one of the U.S.’s largest spirits retail stores, Consulting Master Distiller Larry Ebersold, an unrivaled authority in the American whiskey world, and Head Distiller Brian Sprance, a former beer brewing expert.

A dream team for what will surely be a dream bourbon! We can’t wait to start sipping.
