Cheers, y’all! This is one of our favorite announcements every year. We’re excited to say that after reviewing this year’s applications to join The B-Line®, two Northern Kentucky local gems have been chosen as the 2024 additions: Jerry’s Jug House and the Greyhound Tavern. Both Jerry’s Jug House and The Greyhound Tavern are hugely popular in their respective neighborhoods, rich with history, and we can’t wait for visitors to The B-Line to get to experience both.
Jerry’s Jug House
Jerry’s Jug House, located in Newport, Ky., will be added as one of the bourbon bars on The B-Line. All the B-Line bars must stock at least 100 different bourbons, with a preference for Kentucky bourbon. They also keep local varieties of all The B-Line distilleries in stock. In addition, they offer bourbon flights and host bourbon-related events.
Jerry’s Jug House gets its name from the fact that in the 1930s it was a “jug house” where customers could buy beer, liquor, and wine to go in jugs. Today Jerry’s is a neighborhood favorite and often lands in the top 10 lists in CityBeat’s annual Best of Cincinnati edition.
The Greyhound Tavern
The Greyhound Tavern joins The B-Line as one of our restaurant stops. Restaurants must stock at least 50 different bourbons with a preference for Kentucky bourbon, and all local varieties of The B-Line distilleries. They also have bourbon as part of their culinary focus and must offer at least one bourbon-infused menu item.
Built in 1921, the Greyhound Tavern is located in Ft. Mitchell, Ky. and is NKY’s most award winning restaurant. They serve traditional home-cooking favorites like meat loaf and fried chicken and are especially famous for their amazing onion rings.
